This opportunity will play a key role in the newly formed Pharmacy Shared Services division and will support the Banner Family Pharmacy - Home Delivery and Banner Pharmacy Services - Specialty-Care areas. In addition, this team is responsible for providing direct patient care to patients and their caregivers by processing prescriptions, managing the pharmacist roles of the prescription filling workflow, trouble-shooting insurance issues, fulfilment and supporting the processing and clinical pharmacists within the support center.
As a Pharmacy Support Center Supervisor, you will be responsible for prescription transfers, physician and provider consultation, providing pharmacist verification and fulfilment. Requires current and unrestricted pharmacy technician licensure in the state of practice (where applicable) and/or technician certification. Must demonstrate 2-4 years of experience performing in a pharmacy technician role in community, PBM, mail order, or specialty pharmacy practice. Must possess good organizational, problem solving and computer skills. Must have good written and verbal communication skills for interfacing with all levels of staff, physicians, patients and other contacts.
Must have knowledge of computer software, particularly medication management information system software, Microsoft applications.
