Bring your leadership skills to the high-profile position of Director of Pharmacy. Our inpatient Pharmacy team of pharmacists and pharmacy technicians is dedicated to providing comprehensive, high-quality and cost-effective services and is focused on providing safe and effective medications that complement YRMC’s Total Healing Environment.

 

You will be responsible for the strategic planning, design, operation, fiscal performance and improvement of our medication management system, including all aspects of pharmacy operations and clinical services. This role requires in-depth knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply chain, clinical therapeutics, physicians’ prescribing habits, medication management systems and technology to deliver and support optimal patient care and achieve organizational success. You will also ensure that the Pharmacy meets all legal, accreditation and certification requirements and complies with all applicable procedures, policies and standards of the organization, and provide executive leadership to the post-graduate pharmacy residency program.

 

Requirements

  • Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy; may consider a master’s degree in healthcare, business or a related field

  • Current license to practice pharmacy in the state of Arizona; Board certification in pharmacotherapy (BCPS) by the Board of Pharmacy Specialties preferred

  • Six years of health system experience with three years in a management position; clinical pharmacy program experience preferred

  • Electronic Medical Record (EMR) experience; Cerner strongly preferred
